Dave is the Principle owner and founder of Horizon Sales. He founded Horizon Sales over 25 years ago and he has been an accomplished sales professional in the electronics assembly industry for more than 37 years. Early in his career he was involved with inspection equipment used by the electronic assembly industry and progressed through multiple positions with companies offering robotics, custom automated assembly cells and machine vision guidance and automated inspection systems. He has held numerous titles and positions with some large equipment suppliers, including positions as Sales Manager, Director of Sales and Marketing and finally as Vice President Sales and Marketing with a few of the leading equipment suppliers in the Automated Inspection for Electronics Industry. He has received numerous awards and has been awarded the coveted Global Technology Award as “Best Rep in the Americas” title for the past 5 years by Global Surface Mount Technology Magazine. Dave lives in Brighton, Michigan with his wife Alicia and enjoys playing golf and spending time with his 10 grandchildren.
David Smith joined Horizon Sales in July 2015 with 10 years of experience in the Electronics industry. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics and Computer Engineering Technology from Bowling Green State University. Most recently he held a position as a Test Engineer for a major aerospace electronics and harness manufacturer where his responsibilities included Root Cause Failure Analysis, Troubleshooting, Environmental Testing, Flying Probe, Automated Harness Testing, New Product Introduction and Quoting. He has also served as a Technical Department Leader for a company specializing in the manufacturing of non-contact measurement devices. Currently he resides in Troy, OH which is a north suburb of Dayton, with his wife Tiffany and their two small children. He enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing golf, watching sports and traveling.
Rachel Marino joined Horizon Sales in November 2014 as Administrative Assistant. She brings 11 years of experience in Office Management, with an emphasis in customer service, accounting, marketing, and sales. Rachel holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Eastern Michigan University, and she also has a background in Education. She handles quoting, orders, billing and collections, marketing, and other various administrative tasks for Horizon. Prior to her position with Horizon, she managed the offices of a national home and commercial building inspection company. Rachel resides in Howell, Michigan and enjoys reading, golfing, and spending time with her husband and their two young children.
Since joining Horizon Sales in 2016, Josh Casper has proven to be a customer specialist in full factory automation for the electronics industry. Growing through firsthand experience, Josh consults in all facets of Electronics manufacturing and has established himself as one of the industry’s rising stars. Since his arrival at Horizon Sales, Josh has relocated from his hometown in MI to Chicago IL to manage our largest territory covering the States of IL, WI, East IA, West MI, And Northwest IN. Josh was recently elected Treasurer to the WI SMTA and earned Juki’s Bingham Brokken award that is given to Juki’s most enthusiastic Representative. Prior to his position with Horizon Sales, he was an account manager for a wireless provider. In his free time, he enjoys playing golf, spending time with family and friends, and watching sports.
Laura Harrell recently joined us at our Horizon Supply Group location as administrative and sales support. Laura completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Health Services Administration at Ohio University, and brings with her several years’ experience in Human Resources. While at home raising a family she volunteered at several nonprofit organizations working in a fundraising capacity. She currently resides with her husband and two boys in Ohio. She loves cheering on her two favorite players at their baseball and basketball games.
Jeff Habbyshaw has been in the Electronics Assembly industry for over 20 years. Jeff learned the business with prior experience as a sales representative and sales manager for two different contract manufacturers. In September of 2007, Habbyshaw purchased Bamtech, a distribution company serving the electronics assembly industry, with a reputation of excellence in customer service. On September 1, 2017 Bamtech was acquired as a division of Horizon Industrial Systems, Inc. where Jeff continues in Electronic Assembly sales as General Manager for Horizon Supply Group.
Ken DeVries joined Horizon Sales in 2018 as a Regional Sales Manager. He brings 25 years of experience in Specialty Sales and Customer Service, as well as management and SMT line experience. Ken holds a Bachelor’s Degree from The University of Detroit Mercy in Communications. Prior to his position with Horizon, he worked for a Tier 1 Automotive Electronics Supplier in the Greater Detroit area. Ken resides in Fenton, Michigan with his wife and two children. He is an avid movie enthusiast and enjoys kayaking, canoeing, and coaching his son’s baseball team.
