The Beginnings
Dave Trail, the founder and owner of Horizon Sales, has been a prominent figure in the electronics manufacturing industry for over 45 years. With a wealth of experience and a clear vision, Dave started Horizon Sales in 1991. He recognized early on that Surface-Mount Technology (SMT) was poised to revolutionize the industry. Driven by the desire to be at the forefront of this emerging technology, Dave set out to create a company that would not only represent cutting-edge products but also provide outstanding support and service to clients. In the early days, Dave was known for his relentless dedication and tenacity, traveling door to door and employing a “shoot at anything that moves” approach to sales. His hard work and perseverance laid the foundation for a company committed to bridging the gap between top-tier equipment suppliers and manufacturers who rely on their products.
Our Growth
From our humble beginnings, Horizon Sales has expanded its reach and expertise, now covering the entire Midwest, as well as New York and Florida. We started as a fully remote team and have since progressed to a 4,000 sq ft facility that includes a warehouse, office, training facility, and demo room. This significant expansion reflects our growth and commitment to better serving our clients. Our team of dynamic salespeople, combined with our strong relationships with leading equipment suppliers, allows us to offer a comprehensive range of products and services to our clients.
